Who I am

I am the son of Filipino immigrants, was raised in Salem, and returned four years ago to make Beaverton my home. In the interim, I had the honor and privilege to serve our country in uniform—from the Cold War in West Germany to combat in Iraq during Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom to responding to crises throughout Central America.

Why I am here

What I do in my free time

I enjoy reading books about national security and foreign policy, subscribe to a number of magazines including The Atlantic, Archaeology, Scientific American, and Foreign Affairs; playing my piano (classical genre — I tried boogie woogie but apparently I don’t have that kind of rhythm); watercolors and urban sketching; and (weather permitting) biking around town to check out the amazing eateries we have. I am also a backyard chicken rancher.
